Where a 15-year-old student committed suicide by jumping into the bay after her mother forbade her from excessive use of mobile phone. The matter came to light when the body of the girl, who was missing for ten days, was found near Mankoli Bay on Sunday evening.
Details of the incident
The girl lived with her parents in Umeshnagar area of Dombivali West. Her father runs a vegetable business. The incident took place on December 5, when the girl was continuously using the mobile phone during the afternoon.
During this time, her mother advised her to focus on studies and use the mobile less. Due to this, the girl got very angry and went out of the house in anger with her mother.
Hurt by her mother’s scolding, she left the house
Angry at her mother’s scolding, the girl left the house without telling anything. Initially, the family thought that she might have gone to a friend. But when she did not return home even by evening, the family started searching for her.
But the girl was nowhere to be found. When the girl went missing, her father went to Vishnunagar police station and lodged a complaint.

The girl’s father lodged a complaint at Vishnunagar police station after she went missing. The police immediately started the investigation under the guidance of Senior Inspector Sanjay Pawar.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Police Sub-Inspector G.B. Devere immediately started the investigation under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Pawar. Meanwhile, the police received information that a girl had committed suicide by jumping from the Mothagaon- Mankoli bridge.
Body recovered
The police searched for the girl with the help of a boat in the bay, but she was not found. On Sunday evening, the girl’s body was washed ashore on the banks of Mothagaon Bay. The police took the body in possession and called the parents.
The body was identified by the parents. The girl’s parents were also called there. The parents who reached the spot identified the body. After this, the police handed over the body to the family after legal action.

This incident shows the need to pay attention to the fact that the feelings of children should be understood and they should be explained with love. And they should be guided in a sensitive manner. Also, there is a need for better communication between parents and children so that such tragic incidents can be prevented.
