Crores of bank robbery in Noida: Police killed two criminals. In Delhi’s Noida, police killed two criminals of the bank locker robbery gang in an encounter. The first criminal Sobind Kumar was a resident of Lucknow and the second criminal Sunny was a resident of Florida. Both these criminals were involved in stealing crores from the locker of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB). Sunny Florida was killed in a police encounter on the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar border late on Monday night, while before this Sobind Kumar was killed by the police on Kisan Path in Lucknow.
Police action: How were the three other criminals caught?
24 hours after the locker robbery at the Chinhat branch of Indian Overseas Bank, Noida Police arrested three members of a gang from Bihar. The arrested criminals include Arvind Kumar, Balram Kumar and Kailash Bind. These three criminals were trying to escape in their Estilo car, but the police caught them on the Outer Ring Road. Police recovered Rs 3 lakh in cash, 1889 grams of gold, and 1240 grams of silver from them. The age of the gang members is said to be between 22 and 28 years.
Method of robbery: Theft from lockers by making a hole in the wall
On December 23, this gang entered the Indian Overseas Bank located in Chinhat, Lucknow by making a 2.5 feet hole in the wall. The miscreants broke 42 out of 90 lockers and looted jewelry and cash worth crores of rupees. This incident was revealed on Sunday morning when local residents saw a hole in the bank wall and informed the police. According to the police, this gang consisted of seven members. Six members of the gang were from different districts of Bihar and one member was from Lucknow.
Gang network and mastermind of the gang
The mastermind of the gang was Ankit Verma who did the recce of the bank. Ankit had made arrangements for the gang’s accommodation, food and vehicles in Lucknow. Police said that the gang had called members from Bihar to carry out the robbery. And this was a theft.

Police said that notorious criminals like Sunny Florida and Sobind Kumar have been eliminated. During the encounter, when the police asked them to surrender, they started firing. Both were killed in retaliatory action.
This high-profile robbery case has highlighted the vigilance and swift action of the police. Many members of the gang have been arrested and a lot of looted goods have been recovered. However, some members of this gang are still absconding, whose search is on. This incident once again proves that it is mandatory for criminals to face the law.
