DGP Gaurav Yadav has said that the condition of police stations and lines in Punjab will improve soon. Under this, new vehicles will be given to 140 police stations in the month of February, so that the police can be made more hi-tech. The main objective of this scheme is to increase the efficiency of the police and the security system in the state can be further strengthened.

The DGP has clearly said that there is no place for terrorism, separatism and pro-Khalistan activities in Punjab. He has instructed the officials to keep security tight in important events like Republic Day. The presence of police at sensitive places will be ensured at all costs, so that criminal elements can be curbed.

Change in CM’s Faridkot program

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Republic Day program was canceled after slogans and flags of Khalistan Zindabad were found in Faridkot, Punjab. Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a terrorist of the banned organization “Sikhs for Justice”, has taken responsibility for these activities. The DGP has said that people associated with these activities will not be spared under any circumstances.

Change in Kejriwal’s security

DGP Gaurav Yadav has also informed that after the instructions of the Delhi Election Commission, the Punjab Police personnel deployed in the security of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have also been called back.

This step of the Punjab government is a big effort to strengthen the police force and to take the security system in the state to a higher level. New recruitments and improvement in infrastructure are expected to significantly increase the efficiency of the police.
