Harbhajan Singh Predicts India’s Performance in the Australian Test Series

Harbhajan Singh predicts India's performance

Harbhajan Singh predicts India’s performance in the Test series against Australia. The first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is going to start in just a few days and former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has called it important for the Indian team. He said that a win in the first match will boost the team’s confidence a lot.

Recent defeat and team situation

India recently suffered a crushing 3-0 defeat at home against New Zealand. This defeat has shaken the confidence of the Rohit Sharma-led team. However, Harbhajan has refused to express concern about the team’s batting. He believes that there is a big difference between home conditions and Australian pitches.

Expectations from Indian batsmen

Harbhajan says that Indian batsmen will perform well on bouncy pitches in Australia. He said,
“It is 50-50. I am not paying attention to the cricket played by India recently, because the conditions were completely different. Even the strong batsmen against New Zealand felt as if they did not know how to bat.”

Reacting to the advice to play Ranji Trophy

Harbhajan rejected the advice to senior players to play Ranji Trophy and said,
“This will not serve the purpose. There will be good conditions in Australia. The pitches will be conducive for batting. This will benefit the Indian batsmen.”

Harbhajan’s opinion on the result of the series

Harbhajan looked at India’s chances from a balanced point of view. He believes that the team has a 50-50 chance of retaining the trophy.
