After this, England took two early wickets in New Zealand’s second innings and put them behind by 151 runs.

Harry Brook played a brilliant innings of 171 runs from England’s side which proved to be the biggest contribution for his team. Taking advantage of New Zealand’s poor fielding, Brook hit 15 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. His performance came when England was struggling on a score of 71 runs and 4 wickets. Brook got five lives during his innings but he took full advantage of every opportunity. When Glenn Phillips dropped Brook’s catch, he smiled and looked towards the heaven and strengthened his game further. He completed 150 runs in a brilliant manner and forced the audience to applaud.

Captain Ben Stokes played a brilliant innings of 80 runs while Gus Atkinson and Brydon Carse contributed 48 and 33 runs respectively to take England to a big score.
