Columbus also expressed his positive opinion about this HBO reboot. He said:
“It’s a great idea, because when you make a movie there are certain restrictions. The fact that they have the option of episodes for each book, I think it’s very cool and beautiful.”
He also said that this series can include all the best scenes that could not be made in the earlier films.

However, controversies are also going on regarding this new series. The show has been criticised for executive producer and writer J.K. Rowling’s controversial statements on gender identity. A similar controversy also erupted during the launch of the Hogwarts Legacy game.
