Massive fire in Jammu’s Kathua: 6 died due to suffocation, 3 unconscious. A tragic accident took place in Shivnagar area of Kathua district of Jammu on Sunday. Due to which 6 people lost their lives and 3 people became unconscious due to fire in a house due to short circuit. This accident happened at night when all the 9 people in the house were sleeping.

Massive fire in Jammu’s Kathua: 6 died due to suffocation, 3 unconscious. According to the information, this fire was caused due to short circuit. The fire spread so fast that all the people present in the house were unable to get out. 6 people died on the spot due to suffocation in this incident. 3 people found unconscious during the rescue operation were immediately admitted to GMC Hospital in Kathua. Information about this incident has been given to the police and investigation of this incident is still going on.

The people who lost their lives in this accident and their names and ages are as follows:-
- Ganga Bhagat – age 17 years
- Danish Bhagat – age 15 years
- Avatar Krishna – age 81 years
- Barkha Riyasat – age 25 years
- Takash Rani – age 3 years
- Advik Railway – age 4 years
Treatment of unconscious people continues
Three other people were seriously injured in this incident and were immediately admitted to the local hospital. According to doctors, their condition is stable but they are still kept under observation.
Neighbors helped
During this incident, a neighbor helped in the rescue work. He immediately informed the police and fire department. However, by the time the rescue team arrived, the fire had engulfed the entire house. By the time the rescue team arrived, many people had lost their lives.
