Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, born on January 23, 1897, in Cuttack, Orissa, was a prominent nationalist leader who played a pivotal role in India’s quest for independence. Joining the Indian National Congress in 1921, he later became its president in 1938. His vision for an independent India led to the formation of the Indian National Army (INA).
To honor his invaluable contributions, the Government of India designated January 23 as Parakram Diwas (Day of Valour) in 2021, a day to celebrate his legacy and inspire patriotism among citizens.

A grand three-day event from January 23-25, 202, will be hosted at Barabati Fort in Cuttack, Netaji’s birthplace.
The celebrations will be inaugurated by he Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.
